One woman's chance encounter with family history led her to a 20 year research project. Children's author Andrea Page is coming to the Siouxland Libraries downtown branch in Sioux Falls tomorrow night. Her books is called "Sioux Code Talkers of WWII." We caught up with her for a conversation about language, cultural pride, and the men who saved the world.

The 25th reunion of the USS South Dakota - or Battleship X - was held July 6-9 in Sioux Falls. In The Moment producer Steve Zwemke joins us with a feature on the reunion and to share some historical details of the USS South Dakota from 72 years ago.

Mike Castle joined the USMC in September of 1967. He served with the 2nd Battallion 4th Marines otherwise knows as "The Magnificent Bastards" in 1968 and 1969. Castle was an M60 machine gunner. He is receiving a Bronze Star Medal on Thursday aboard the USS Yorktown in South Carolina.
