The annual Adams Homestead Celebration marks the anniversary of when Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve became a state park. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this year. Visitors can take a step back in time and learn a little about South Dakota History by attending this event. Kids and adults will have fun with rope making, candle making, tin punching, dutchoven cooking, music, threshing machine demonstrations, small engines demonstrations, touring through the Lamont Country School, Shay/Adams House and Stavenger Lutheran Church, and going on a hayrack ride. Bring your best homemade pie for the homemade pie contest or test your arms by throwing a buffalo chip. Many fun activities for all ages. This is a free, fun family event.
