The Rapid City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a subject for questioning. Law enforcement officials say they are looking for Charles Birds Head. They say he may have information about the shooting death of a man that happened Monday evening outside a motel in Rapid City.
Lieutenant James Johns is with the Support Services of the Rapid City Police Department. He says law enforcement agencies are following up on all available leads.
“During the course of our investigation Mr. Birds Head’s name has come up and as with anything of an investigation this size we want to make sure that we get everyone talked to and he is a person that we would like to talk to,” says Johns.
Lieutenant Johns says that Charles Birds Head is believed to be armed and dangerous and the public should not approach him. Instead, he encourages anyone with information to call the police immediately. Birds Head’s last known residence is in Rapid City.
