Peter D. Harper, known to the music world as just Harper, is best known for his prolific performances on the harmonica and didgeridoo. Combining those instruments with his strong vocals and his Detroit, Michigan-based backing band, Midwest Kind, creates their own genre, one they call "World Blues." Harpers songs are inspired by American Indians and Australian Aborigines. The haunting sounds of the didgeridoo enhance Harper's emotional lyrics.
Harper and Midwest Kind just released a new CD in March, "Show Your Love." It greets listeners with 11 new songs which capture Harper and Midwest Kind's "World Blues."
