First Bank and Trust Arena

This interview is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

South Dakota State University's Frost Arena is getting a $50 million makeover and a name change. SDPB Sports and Rec reporter Nate Wek joined In the Moment to talk about the project.

More about Frost Arena

Frost Arena, which was named after former SDSU basketball coach Jack Frost, opened in 1973. It’s currently home to the wrestling, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball teams of SDSU.

The renovation process will take around two years, but because it will be done in increments, teams won’t have to relocate to an alternate venue while construction takes place.
