Mitchell resident Billy Lurken grew up listening to the Beatles, Bob Dylan and KISS. Seeing Prince perform "Purple Rain" during the Grammy Awards triggered his interest in musical performance. A move to Nashville didn't turn him into a country music star, but he expanded his list of influences. Living in Scotland (the UK Scotland!) also opened his ears to previously unheard genres. On May 4, Lurken stopped by SDPB's Martin Busch Television studio with a couple of guitars, a banjo and a harmonica for a No Cover, No Minimum concert taping. Enjoy the wide array of styles Lurken packs into one hour on this week's No Cover, No Minimum Radio.
