The 2024 South Dakota legislative session is officially in the books.
Lawmakers met at the Capitol Tuesday for Veto Day, which marks the final day of session each year.
Both the House and Senate adjourned after only a few minutes because for the first time in nearly 70 years, they had no gubernatorial vetoes to consider.
Next year marks the 100th session of the South Dakota Legislature, which convenes Jan. 14, 2025.
