Ep. 5: 'Some Great Conspiracy'

SDPB

While Jason Ravnsborg avoided serious charges for fatally hitting a pedestrian with his car, his future as attorney general becomes an open question.

Gov. Kristi Noem calls for Ravnsborg to resign. Then, another hammer – some lawmakers begin the unprecedented step of filing articles of impeachment.

Ravnsborg refuses to give up his office willingly. He calls the push to remove him “political” – that it’s a response to his office investigating powerful people, including the governor herself.

It’s the beginning of a political dogfight that becomes more convoluted before it becomes clear.

In this episode of Short Walk, we’ll take a look at how Ravnsborg dealt with a snowball of pressure pushing in from all sides.
