In his new book, "That's What They Used to Say": Reflections on American Indian Oral Traditions, Donald Fixico invites readers into his own oral tradition to learn how storytelling, legends and prophecies, and oral histories and creation myths knit together to explain the Indian world.

Fixico is a Distinguished Foundation Professor of History with the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) at Arizona State University.  He discussed his new book with Prairie Public's Doug Hamilton on Main Street November 29th.
