A voting rights group is filing a federal court case alleging unequal access to the polls in Jackson County, South Dakota.

The county covers the northeast corner of the Pine Ridge Reservation and is home to both the towns of Kadoka and Wanblee.

In the county seat of Kadoka, the public can register and vote early in person.   But in Wanblee, the county’s largest town that sits on the Pine Ridge Reservation, early voting in person is not an option.
