Christine Hockett, Ph.D.and Raeann Mettler, Ph.D. join "In the Moment" ahead of the event. They discuss why representation matters and efforts to ensure participants benefit from the research.
Hockett is the director of community research at Avera Research Institute and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at University of South Dakota School of Medicine.
Mettler is a science specialist for Missouri Breaks Industries Research.
Wellness and Research in Indian Country takes place April 16-17 at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City.
