Can you see the stars from your backstep? Truly dark skies are becoming harder to find.

The natural night sky has changed with the increase in light pollution. Artificial light impacts habitats, wildlife, and our communities.

Teresa Hofer joins "In the Moment" to help us understand light pollution and shares her advice on how to best enjoy a dark sky.

Hofer is the co-owner of Badlands Observatory. She is also a member and advocate of DarkSky International and DarkSky South Dakota.
