This interview originally aired on "In the Moment" on SDPB Radio.

There are around 20 red wolves left in the wild. Breeding programs in captivity hope to give this species a boost — including a program in Sioux Falls.

The Great Plains Zoo welcomed six red wolf pups into the world last spring. We get an update on the litter and learn why they're asking for the public's help to name them.

Denise DePaolo is director of marketing and public relations at the Great Plains Zoo, and Stephanie Arne is the zoo's conservation director.

Plus, Arne shares a behind-the-scenes look at her recent appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show." She also shares the same message she told Barrymore and her guest, Maisie Williams from "Game of Thrones."
