The U.S. Department of Defense has ongoing and urgent needs in the areas of technology innovation. The National Security Innovation Network is a program run by the department of defense. It's a business accelerator program with a competitive entry process.

Today we meet three scientific innovators from South Dakota Mines. The start-up businesses created by these Mines researchers and students have been selected for partnership with the National Security Innovation Network.
