A South Dakota man convicted of bank robbery was sentenced to five years and three months in federal prison, followed by a three-year supervised release.
Twenty-three-year-old Ayub Ibrahim Mohamed stole $200,000 from a Wells Fargo Bank in Sioux Falls, according to court documents. He pleaded guilty on March 1.
The FBI and Sioux Falls Police Department investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeremy R. Jehangiri.
U.S. Attorney Allison J. Ramsdell announced on Friday that U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier sentenced the suspect.
