Youth Media Camp Discussion with Anna Almore
This showcase and discussion are the culmination of a media camp, sponsored by Lutheran Social Services and facilitated by Outlast Arts and Education, centering on the medium of poetry, both in words and in visual poems, to enhance the powers of expression of high school black and indigenous youth. The event explores cultural expression of these youth through their poetry, the importance of cultural representation in media, and the potential of the medium to build bridges of understanding and reinforce community ties.
