Nonprofit co-founder shares experiences in Haiti

Bruce Blumer

This interview originally aired on "In the Moment" on SDPB Radio.

We hear a local perspective on what's happening in Haiti. Bruce Blumer, co-founder of Haiti Alive, talks about his January trip to the island and the security measures he needed to travel safely around the country.

He also describes how the situation has deteriorated since his visit. Gang violence now grips the country and travel to or from the island is near impossible.

Blumer discusses what he's worried about for Haiti's future.
