Sion Lidster recites poetry and previews Independent Bookstore Day

This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

April is national poetry month. This Saturday is also Independent Bookstore Day.

The Full Circle Book Co-op in Sioux Falls has created a space where people can gather to poor over dusty pages, share a drink, and recite poetry. The venue has a full slate of activities planned for Independent Bookstore Day.

Sion Lidster is a writer from Wales living in the Midwest. He is the co-founder of Full Circle Book Co-Op and Milk Carton Press. A native of Wales, Lidster was inspired to found the co-op after seeking out a poetry community in Sioux Falls.

He spoke with Lori Walsh on In the Moment and read a poem from his book The Noble Rot. The poem "I Spray My Hand With Hot Fat, and You Pay Me" can be heard in the audio clip attached to this story.
