Thailand In A Political Crisis

Reynold Nesiba, professor of economics at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, spent January in Thailand where he led a J-Term course on the "Political Economy of Thailand." Thailand's elections ended yesterday without any major incidents of violence, even though anti-government protestors stopped candidates from registering, blocked delivery of ballot boxes and prevented people from casting their votes. For more than three months, protestors have shut down the government district in Bangkok and other parts of the capital. Dr. Nesiba joins Dakota Midday to discuss the elections and turmoil in Thailand.
