Shakespeare’s First Folio is visiting the National Music Museum on the campus of the University of South Dakota. It’s a traveling exhibit from the Folger Shakespeare Library and it’s making one stop in each of the 50 states.

Dakota Midday spends a literary lunch hour swimming in all things Shakespeare with Dr. Darlene Farabee, project director and chair of the English Department at the University of South Dakota, and Cleveland Johnson, director of the National Music Museum.

The South Dakota Shakespeare Festival is June 13-15 in Vermillion, featuring a performance of "The Taming of the Shrew" in Prentis Park. The production includes nationwide talent, including eight students from the University of South Dakota. Chaya Gordon-Bland is founding artistic director of the South Dakota Shakespeare Festival and Assistant Professor in Movement and Shakespeare in the Theatre Department at the University of South Dakota.
