Dakota Midday: Top 10 Haunted Places In Dakotas

Oct 31, 2016

A 2015 Gallup Poll says three in four Americans believe in paranormal activity, including 37% that believe in haunted houses. Just prior to that poll, Michael Kleen, editor of Mysterious Heartland, wrote a piece for his website called Top 10 Haunted Places in the Dakotas. The list includes abandoned places like the San Haven Sanatorium in Dunseith, North Dakota, to places with daily visitors like the Orpheum Theater in Sioux Falls and the Hotel Alex Johnson in Rapid City.

Dr. Kenneth Tice, Director of Choral Activities for Mount Marty College in Yankton, helps preview the college's annual Vespers service. The 2015 program, "ad verbum illuminatum" (the illuminated word) features music that reflects the text of the illuminations from the St. John's Bible.
