President Trump has been critical of Mexico for what he calls the country's failure to tamp down on illegal migration that uses Mexico as a pathway to America for people from Central American countries such as Guatemala. A recent U.S./Mexico Joint Declaration promises "unprecedented steps to increase enforcement."

"Trafficked in America," a joint FRONTLINE investigation with the Investigative Reporting Program at UC Berkeley, premieres tonight on SDPB-TV at 9:00 p.m. Central.

Andres Cediel, a director, producer and writer of "Trafficked in America," details a trail of human trafficking that begins with teens in Guatemala and ends with them working outrageous hours in unacceptable conditions at Trillium Farms in rural Ohio.

Each Fellow receives up to $100,000 in order to pursue the education and experiences they believe will help them become more effective leaders. It's a program unique to our region, and this year three Rapid City residents have been honored with the distinction. Today we talk with 2017 Bush Fellow Heather Dawn Thompson.

A group from the Sioux Falls area is back in South Dakota after distributing wheelchairs to people in need in Guatemala. The Dispatch Project team members worked at a wheelchair seating clinic. They adjusted chairs to fit the needs of children and adults with disabilities.
