"Loving Arms" is a new play written by Kevin Cole, Professor of English at the University of Sioux Falls.

Today we bring you one of the highlights from the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra season. In January, the symphony performed Theodore Wiprud's Sinfonietta. It was the world premiere of the piece.

Ted Wiprud is a composer, a concert presenter, educator and music executive. He currently serves as Vice President of Education for the New York Philharmonic.

South Dakota high schools produce a variety of plays each year. This week the Washington High School drama department took us backstage during rehearsals of "The Wizard of Oz."

Pioneers Of Television Season 4

The fourth season of Pioneers of Television begins tonight at 7:00 p.m. Central on SDPB-TV with the episode "Standup to Sitcom."  Future episodes include "Doctors and Nurses," "Breaking Barriers," and "Acting Funny."  Steve Boettcher, President of Boettcher Media Group and co-owner of BT Media in Milwaukee, where Pioneers of Television is produced for PBS, joined Dakota Midday to preview the new season.

Shouting Secrets

There are two opportunities to see the award winning drama, Shouting Secrets, this Sunday in Sioux Falls.  Swiss film director Korinna Sehringer will be a guest of Cinema Falls during the screenings and will participate in post-film question/answer sessions.  She talked about her film, which won Best Film, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at the American Indian Film Festival, on Dakota Midday Thursday.  For more information, go to www.cinemafalls.com.
