Jails across the state have taken measures to reduce the daily population count in an effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus in high-risk environments. And, in the midst of the pandemic, on April 17, South Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice David Gilbertson celebrated 25 years as Chief Justice.
