Every year they'd have a special musical guest or two, and the concerts would raise money for local charities. It features a concert recorded before a live audience at the Homestake Opera House in Lead on July 11th, 2008. The Deadwood Songbook project was spearheaded by the Adams Museum in Deadwood and South Dakota musician Hank Harris several years ago. The project resulted in two CD's and many, many performances around South Dakota - that was before this TV production.
