Brian Gevik, online services and television producer for South Dakota Public Broadcasting, previewed a new season of Images of the Past.  He was joined by Bill Hoskins, Director of the Siouxland Heritage Museums.  The new Images of the Past series opens with Thomas Fawick and the Fawick Flyer.  The Fawick Flyer was built in Sioux Falls and is currently on display at the Old Courthouse Museum.  Dakota Midday will share an Images of the Past segment each week.

Kent Osborne and "The Computer Guys" continued their discussion of browser plugins from their last session.  They also conversed about free MS OS, a new wrist gadget called the Leatherman Tread and the first robo car to drive across the United States.

Seven two-person teams  from around the state gather in Sioux Falls for the South Dakota State Finals Auto Skills Competition. A written test brought the contestants to this point of the contest, making each duo a winner already.  The teams are vying for a wide range of prizes, including a chance to compete at the national auto skills competition in Michigan.

They are trying to fix a 2014 Ford Focus.

The latest issue of South Dakota Magazine features "Parked in South Dakota" as its cover story.  South Dakota Magazine visited with  old car lovers all over the state who told the story behind their historic cars.  Katie Hunhoff, managing editor of South Dakota Magazine, and Joe Floyd of Sioux Falls, who owns several historic automobiles, joined Karl Gehrke on Monday.  Floyd talked about the history of his 1936 Ford Cabriolet.
