SDPB's Charles Michael Ray interviewed Lew Christopher, Director of the Center for Bioprocessing Research and Development. Christopher, a professor at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, has written a new book, "Integrated Forest Biorefineries: Challenges and Opportunities," in which he outlines ways that current paper mills and sawmills can be retooled to use their own waste to create biofuel.
