New Self-Service Registration Terminals for Motor Vehicle's in South Dakota

The State Division of Motor Vehicles is opening several new self-service registration terminals.  D-M-V Director Deb Hilmer says the kiosks are convenient ways to take care of auto registrations.

“The self-service terminals are like an ATM machine, only rather than getting money out of them, you go in and do your vehicle registrations, and you’ll be able to walk away with your registration card, which will have your decals on it, says Hilmer.  So it really provides an alternative method for people to renew their vehicles, 24 hours, seven days a week.”

Hilmer says motorists who need to update registrations can use any terminal in the state, regardless of what county they come from.  New terminal site locations are in Rapid City, Aberdeen, Mitchell, Watertown, Yankton and Brookings.
