Today it continues to uplift artists and writers. The magazine is the inspiration for an exhibit at the Dahl Arts center.

Visitors at the South Dakota arts conference are invited to make time for an exhibit entitled "The Chair is Not Me."It features a collection of writing by J.J. James Janis with illustrations from artists with disabilities. Janis, who has has cerebral palsy, has penned a series of poems inspired by his experiences. His work shines a light on the struggles and triumphs of people with disabilities.

An exhibition entitled "the Gift" is open now at the South Dakota Art Museum in Brookings. It tells the traditional Lakotan Narrative of the White Buffalo woman, who presented a sacred pipe to the Itazipco Oyate.

Bob. H. Miller calls his new exhibit a "non-traditional gallery experience." The South Dakota artist has a new show at the Dahl Art Museum using Scotchlite, the same reflective material used on traffic signs. Viewers are invited to walk around a darkened gallery using flashlights. The pieces of art reflect the light and glow in the dark.
