SDSU Athletic Department

Sioux Falls Roosevelt grad and South Dakota State University quarterback Taryn Christion has signed with the Dallas Cowboys. The announcement came on Wednesday after the Cowboys released veteran wide receiver Allen Hurns.

Christion signed with the Seattle Seahawks in an undrafted free agent role following the 2019 National Football League draft, but was released. Before signing with Dallas, Christion had also worked out with the Arizona Cardinals.

Throughout his college career at SDSU, Christion threw for more than 11,000 yards and 107 touchdowns. He also ran for more than 1,500 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Christion is currently the fourth quarterback on the Cowboys roster, along with Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, and Mike White. Dallas training camp opens to all players on Saturday July 27th.
