The Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating allegations involving the Mitchell American Legion baseball program.
Attorney General Marty Jackley said in a press release the subjects of investigation are presumed innocent and have not had formal charges filed against them.
Jackley did not provide any details on the nature of the allegations.
Prosecuting authorities, including the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, are reviewing the allegations and evidence.
The Mitchell Republic reportsthe Mitchell Baseball Association initially planned on resuming Post 18 varsity baseball after Jackley statement, but later decided to cancel the remainder of its season.
