How to watch 2023 state softball tournaments

We’ve reached state tournament time for the inaugural season of high school softball in South Dakota. Twenty-four teams have their sights set on Aberdeen this week as three of them will look to hoist a state title.

All three classes of high school softball will compete in The Hub City on June 1-3.

South Dakota Public Broadcasting plans to live stream all of the action throughout the three day event at sdpb.org/softball. Streaming of this year’s event is made possible through the partnership of SDPB, the SDHSAA, and Game Changer.

On Sautrday June 3rd, the championship and 3/4th place game in Class AA will air live as well on SDPB2-TV. Photos, brackets, and stories also available at sdpb.org/softball.

Nate Wek is currently the sports content producer and sports and rec beat reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Leadership. From 2010-2013 Nate was the Director of Gameday Media for the Sioux Falls Storm (Indoor Football League) football team.
