How to watch 2023 state softball tournaments

We’ve reached state tournament time for the inaugural season of high school softball in South Dakota. Twenty-four teams have their sights set on Aberdeen this week as three of them will look to hoist a state title.

All three classes of high school softball will compete in The Hub City on June 1-3.

South Dakota Public Broadcasting plans to live stream all of the action throughout the three day event at Streaming of this year’s event is made possible through the partnership of SDPB, the SDHSAA, and Game Changer.

On Sautrday June 3rd, the championship and 3/4th place game in Class AA will air live as well on SDPB2-TV. Photos, brackets, and stories also available at

Nate Wek is currently the sports content producer and sports and rec beat reporter for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. He is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism Broadcasting and a minor in Leadership. From 2010-2013 Nate was the Director of Gameday Media for the Sioux Falls Storm (Indoor Football League) football team.
