SDSU research combines statistics & forensic science

Chris Saunders, Ph.D., is a professor of statistics at South Dakota State University and a forensic science researcher. His work assigns statistical weight and likelihoods to pieces of evidence.
Saunders is also principal investigator on a new project funded by a more than $600,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice's National Institute of Justice.
He joins In the Moment to explain where statistics fit into the forensic science team and how to score evidence.
