Partial annular eclipse in South Dakota on Saturday

South Dakota won't be in the path of a total annular eclipse this weekend, but we'll be able to see a partial eclipse across the state.

Hank Fridell is a member of the Black Hills Astronomical Society. He discusses what happens during a rare annular eclipse and how to safely view this planetary phenomenon.

The eclipse is happening Saturday, Oct. 14 in the morning. Southern and western areas of the state will see the most coverage.
