SD Mines' Living Laboratory

SDSMT

In The Moment … December 11, 2020 Show 959 Hour 2

In 2017, a South Dakota Mines student noted the infrastructure at Trinity Eco Prayer Park in Rapid City was not adequate to handle larger storms. This sparked the idea for a series of upgrades that would increase water flow and filtration capacity. Thus creating a living laboratory.

Joining us are Ken Steinken, one of the visionaries of the park and serves as the park director, and Jason Phillips, graduate student and staff member of Terra Site Design, the firm that designed the park.
