Ada Lovelace: First Computer Programmer?

In The Moment … October 20, 2020 Show 924 Hour 1

A presentation via Zoom here at the top of the hour is titled "Ada Lovelace: First Computer Programmer?" This is part of the South Dakota Mines Humanities Department's Brown Bag Series and is presented by Erica Haugtvedt, an assistant Humanities professor at Mines. Lovelace was not very well known for her mathematics during her lifetime as other mathematicians believed that women were incapable of studying math at this level. Haugtvedt joins us today to prove why they were not accurate.
