USD Professor Weighs In On Iraq's Unrest

The University of South Dakota

The fall of Tal Afar to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) raised again the specter of deepening sectarian violence in Iraq this weekend. Today, Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. is considering the use of drones or even working with Iran as options in halting the rebel attacks. Professor Tim Schorn teaches Political Science at the University of South Dakota, where he specializes in Middle Eastern politics and international human rights. He joined the program to clarify the events of the last week in Iraq and shed light on the possible future.
