It's a bill that would establish community school guidelines with flexible curriculum emphasizing native language and cultural interests. A similar bill was approved in the Senate last year but failed in the House.
Debate on SB 68 continued this morning in the Senate Education Committee. After further testimony, Senate Bill 68 passed on a vote of 6 to 1 and will next go to the Senate floor for consideration.
