Snow Falling In Western South Dakota; Some Parts Of SD Could Measure New Snow In Feet

A storm system that caught the eye of forecasters several days ago has reached South Dakota.  Greg Richards with the National Weather Service in Rapid City says snow began falling overnight in the Black Hills.

East River has dealt with thunderstorms throughout the night--a few have been severe.  Matthew Dux with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls looks at the storm's potential impact on his side of the state.

  An official with the South Dakota Department of Transportation says Interstate Highway closures are a strong possibility with this storm.  Road condition reports are available with the 511 report line or at http://safetravelusa.com/sd
