US Senator Mike Rounds says his wife Jean is starting cancer treatment.
In a written statement, Rounds says after numerous tests over the last several weeks, Jean was diagnosed with a malignant high-grade aggressive tumor near her sciatic nerve.
Rounds says after consulting with doctors in South Dakota, they’ll begin her treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Specific treatment is currently unknown.
