Sarah McQuaid - Part 1

www.sarahmcquaid.com

Cornwall, England, based singer/songwriter Sarah McQuaid is a captivating performer.  Her echoing voice and artful guitar ring out between stories of her life, places and experiences.  McQuaid was born in Spain and raised in Chicago.  At the age of 12 she was already touring with the Chicago Children's Choir.  Her most recent U.S. Tour brought her to the Rapid City Public Library (October 5, 2015) where she performed her fourth CD, "Walking Into White," in full.  That's this week's No Cover, No Minimum Radio, the first of a two-part episode with McQuaid.  "Walking Into White" was partly written and inspired by McQuaid's appreciation of Arthur Ransome's series of children's books, "Swallows and Amazons."  McQuaid was able to take some of the character's adventures and turn them into beautifully crafted numbers.
