The South Dakota World Affairs Council is hosting a symposium Friday at South Dakota State University, "Russia: A Power in the New Global Order." Dr. Richard Farkas, Professor of Political Science at DePaul University, will provide one of two keynote addresses outlining his up-to-date experience in the largest country in the world. Farkas is a noted lecturer on Russia's position in the world as a political, economic and social force. Tom Hanson, a former diplomat serving in embassies in Moscow and the Republic of Georgia, will deliver another keynote outlining the importance of foreign diplomatic efforts with one of the world's fastest growing major economies.
