"Rivers, Wings and Sky"

University of South Dakota

"Rivers, Wings and Sky," an exhibition by poet Norma Wilson and artist Nancy Losacker, is on display through the spring semester at the I.D. Weeks Library at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.  The collaboration began more than five years ago when the two met on the riverbanks to share their visual art and poetry.  From that point, the Missouri River, winged creatures and the infinite sky have inspired Wilson and Losacker.  They said they are more conscious of the living river's beauty and its ongoing cycle of life while admiring the freedom and strength of birds and butterflies that bridge continents with their flight.
