RCPD Seeks Help In Solving Kidnapping Case

Rapid City Police Department

The Rapid City Police Department is investigating the kidnapping of two adult male subjects by two unknown males.

On Saturday, December third, the two victims were exiting a gas station on the North Side of Rapid City, when police say they were threatened with guns by the subjects who got into the backseat of the victims vehicle. RCPD say the two subjects ordered the driver to head north.

Once out of town, both kidnapping victims were ordered into the trunk of the car, according to police. After a short distance, the vehicle got stuck in a ditch. Police say the victims were then ordered to help push the vehicle out of the ditch, and shortly after they fled.

The Rapid City Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the police department.

Brendyn Medina is a spokesperson for the police department. He says anyone with info can text the anonymous tip line…

“You do that by texting the letter’s RCPD and whatever information you want to pass along to 847411 and that’s completely anonymous," Medina says. "We don’t even get a return phone number when we get those messages through the tip line. So, we just ask that please anyone that has that information reach out to us so we can help solve this crime.”

Police located the victim’s vehicle, but did not locate the kidnapping suspects. The first suspect is described as a Native American male, about 5-feet 11-inches tall with a medium build between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.  The second suspect is described as a Native American male, about 5-feet 8-inches tall with a small build between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
