NIH Conference In Sioux Falls

Health, science and business leaders and experts are in Sioux Falls this week for a national conference exploring new market opportunities in biomedical and behavioral sciences. The 15th annual National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technical Transfer Conference runs today through Wednesday at the Sioux Falls Convention Center, with speakers and attendees from across the country. This year’s conference theme is “How to Be Competitive in a World of Change.” Joining the program from the conference are Dr. Matthew Portnoy, who manages the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technical Transfer Conference at the N-I-H and coordinates the 24 N-I-H Institutes/Centers that receive funding for programs. Also, Dr. Gary Archamboult is director of South Dakota’s Small Business Innovation Research Program and one of the principal organizers of the conference. He’s assisted hundreds of small businesses and start-up companies seek funding through the N-I-H Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technical Transfer.
