Keith Braveheart: Art In The Age Of COVID

May 29, 2020

In The Moment … May 29, 2020 Show 827 Hour 1

Keith Braveheart has seen the effects of COVID-19 as an artist, and also through the eyes of his art students at Oglala Lakota College. Braveheart is well known for working with young Native American artists at USD's annual Oscar Howe Summer Art Institute. Over the last couple of months, Braveheart has had to make adjustments to online education as a way to help his students succeed. He has also felt the disappointment of having many art shows and exhibitions canceled or postponed. If nothing else, we're glad that we can spend a few minutes with him this morning.
