  Michael Cherry, PHD, served as a grad assistant to Ray Davis while he set up the neutrino experiment in the Homestake Gold Mine 50 years ago.  Cherry speaks about his experiences with Ray Davis and conducting experiments a mile under ground.  He'll also speak Thursday, April 16 at 7 PM  at the Deadwood Gulch Convention Center. Michael Cherry is the Roy P. Daniels Professor of Physics at Louisiana State University.  His research interests include high energy astrophysics that deal with the radiation produced by energetic particles in space, their astrophysical sources, and the acceleration mechanisms that produce the very high energy particles.
