When you take your student to driver safety training, most likely they aren't going to be coached in preparing for a traffic stop and an interaction with police. Interaction with officers can vary from friendly to dangerous, and many Black parents have different conversations with their young drivers about those traffic stops. That's because (nationwide) Black drivers are stopped at a higher rate that white drivers.
