In The Moment … November 3, 2020 Show 934 Hour 1
Think back, for a moment, to the polar vortex of 2019. It was a time of bone-chilling temperatures in the upper Midwest. Children stayed home from school. People were warned to stay inside, and only go out with proper protection from the bitter cold. For days we watched on social media as people threw pots of boiling water in the air to watch it instantly turn to snow. It was also a time of intense creative output for our next guest.
Heid Erdrich is the author of seven collections of poetry. She is the editor of the 2018 anthology "New Poets of Native Nations." Her latest book is called "Little Big Bully."
