In The Moment … June 24, 2020 Show 845 Hour 1

For more than 100 days now, Americans have been grappling with life forever altered by a global pandemic. The public health crisis is unfolding parallel to civil unrest and a presidential election, and much of our discourse during this time is occurring online.  The Knight Foundation and Gallup have released a new survey called "Free Expression, Harmful Speech, and Censorship in a Digital World." The survey highlights how Americans feel about free speech, online harassment, and the digital public square right now.  Joseph Bottum, Ph.D., is Director of the Classics Institute at Dakota State University in Madison.
